West Haven Woman Sentenced For Enticing Minor To Engage In Sexual Activity: Feds

WEST HAVEN, CT — A West Haven woman has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity, according to officials.

Elizabeth Jordan, 43, was also sentenced Wednesday in Hartford federal court to five years of supervised release following the prison term, U.S. Attorney for Connecticut David X. Sullivan announced.

Prosecutors said in a statement that in March 2024, Jordan, after sustained pressure from Joshua Bailey, “engaged in sexual activity with a minor who was 17 and livestreamed the activity to Bailey using Facebook messenger.”

A subsequent search of Bailey’s phone “revealed a series of screenshots of Jordan and the minor engaged in sexual activity,” according to a news release.

Jordan and Bailey have been detained since August 2024 when they were arrested on related state offenses. On Nov. 3, 2025, they each pleaded guilty in federal court to enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity.

Jordan was also ordered to pay $10,000 pursuant to the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act of 2018, according to officials.

Bailey was sentenced in March to 12 years in federal prison and was ordered to pay $5,000 pursuant to the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015, and $10,000 pursuant to the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act of 2018.

The prosecution is part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood Initiative, which is aimed at protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation. For more information about Project Safe Childhood, visit here.
