West Haven's 5 Priciest Homes On The Market Right Now

WEST HAVEN, CT — The shoreline sets the top of West Haven's housing market. The two most expensive homes for sale in the city on Zillow.com are a new house with water views and a penthouse condo above the beach and boardwalk.

No. 1 on the list is new construction at 113 Prospect Ave. in West Shore, listed at $825,000 after a $14,000 price cut on Oct. 10. The 3,300-square-foot house has five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, water views, high ceilings and an open kitchen and living area. It has been on Zillow for 113 days.

Just behind it is a sixth-floor penthouse at Oceanside Condominiums in the Savin Rock and West Shore area: unit 603 at 343 Beach St., asking $789,000. The 1,704-square-foot condo, built in 2004, has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms and views of Long Island Sound from sunrise to sunset. The building has a heated in-ground pool, and the unit comes with two covered carports. It has been on Zillow for 101 days.

Rounding out the top three is a lakefront house on Phipps Lake, a private 26-acre reservoir, at 211 Phipps Drive, listed at $649,000. Built in 1920 and fully remodeled in the early 2000s, the one-level 1,730-square-foot home has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, a sunken living room with a fireplace and direct access to the water for fishing and kayaking. Zillow lists the lot at 0.29 acres, while the description says 0.46. It has been on Zillow for 10 days.

Two new split-level houses with the same builder's description are tied for No. 4 at $610,000. 109 Sycaway St. has 3,150 square feet, four bedrooms and three full bathrooms on 0.61 acres, with an 8-foot island and quartz counters. It has been on Zillow for 61 days.

22 Florence St. has five bedrooms and three full bathrooms and was cut by $10,000 on Oct. 1. Zillow lists it at 6,800 square feet, while the description says 3,400. It has been on Zillow for 102 days.
