Report Of Possible Firearm Prompts Police Response In Easton
Officers quickly located two people after receiving a report Tuesday afternoon, police said.
EASTON, CT — A report of two people possibly carrying a firearm prompted a police response in Easton Tuesday afternoon, but officers said no weapons were found.
Easton police responded around 4:10 p.m. Aug. 18 after receiving a complaint about two men entering the woods in the area of Center Road near Old Sow Road, according to the department.
The person who contacted police believed they may have seen a firearm, police said.

“There is no concern to public safety,” the department said in a public safety advisory.
