Blood Emergency Prompts Urgent Call for Donors at St. Vincent's Medical Center
Connecticut supplies are critically low; community blood drive in Bridgeport aims to help replenish lifesaving donations.
The Connecticut Blood Center has declared a blood emergency and is urgently asking eligible donors to help replenish critically low blood supplies. To support the effort, Hartford HealthCare St. Vincent's Medical Center will host a community blood drive, giving local residents an opportunity to make a lifesaving difference.

Blood donations are essential every day to support patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, trauma care and other medical emergencies. With supplies running dangerously low, each donation can help ensure lifesaving blood is available when patients need it most.

Community members are encouraged to schedule an appointment by scanning the QR code on the event flyer or by visiting ctblood.org. Walk-ins will be welcomed as capacity allows.
