The state is reportedly seeking to gain an easement on a property at the intersection of Wilton Road and Post Road West.
WESTPORT, CT — The state Department of Transportation is suing under eminent domain to gain an easement on a property in Westport, The Hour reported.
ConnDOT is looking to install sidewalk ramps and a pedestrian light at the intersection of Wilton Road and Post Road West, and reportedly needs the easement to do the work.
State officials approached 1 Wilton Road Westport LLC, owner of 1 Wilton Road, to reportedly buy the 77-square-foot easement for $1,775.
