WHS presents - The Catacomb of Loyalty: A Deep Dive into New-Gate’s Role in the Revolution

Wethersfield Historical Society celebrates America250 with a new program series exploring the history of the American Revolution. All of the programs in this series are held in the ballroom of the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center (200 Main Street, Wethersfield, CT). Admission is free to current members of the society and $10 per program for non-members.

In the fifth installment of the American Revolution Program Series, Morgan Bengel, curator and site administrator of Old New-Gate Prison & Copper Mine, delivers a lecture entitled The Catacomb of Loyalty: A Deep Dive into New-Gate’s Role in the Revolution. This lecture explores how loyalists and POWs were treated here in Connecticut during the Revolution.
