Racist Graffiti Found Throughout Wethersfield: Police

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Police are asking for the public's help identifying whoever vandalized vehicles, fences, street signs, and other town property with racist and offensive graffiti at multiple locations in Wethersfield.

The vandalism occurred sometime between the evening of Saturday, Sept. 19, and the early morning hours of Sunday, Sept. 20, according to the Wethersfield Police Department.

Police said the graffiti was discovered at multiple locations south of Maple Street and included racist and other offensive language.

"This hateful messaging does not reflect the values of the Town of Wethersfield and our department condemns this type of conduct," police said.

Investigators are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity during that period.

Police are particularly interested in surveillance, doorbell, or other video footage that could help identify those responsible.

"We are committed to identifying those responsible and are asking for the public's assistance," police said.
