Video Shows Suspects In Racist Graffiti Spree In Wethersfield: Police

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Wethersfield police have released video of individuals they are seeking to identify as part of an investigation into racist and offensive graffiti found at several locations around town.

Police said Tuesday that the video shows individuals at Mill Woods Park and asked residents who recognize them by their clothing, stature, or voices to contact investigators.

The request is connected to several vandalism incidents that occurred between the evening of Sept. 19 and the early morning hours of Sept. 20, according to police.

Investigators said graffiti containing racist and offensive language was found on vehicles, fences, street signs and other town property at multiple locations south of Maple Street.

"This hateful messaging does not reflect the values of the Town of Wethersfield and our department condemns this type of conduct," police said.

Police previously asked residents and businesses to review surveillance or other video recorded during the time the vandalism is believed to have occurred.

The department's latest appeal specifically seeks help identifying the individuals shown in the Mill Woods Park video. Police cautioned that the recording contains offensive language.

Police have not announced any arrests in connection with the investigation.
