Gov. Lamont, State Officials To Attend Wilton Democrats' Annual BBQ

The Wilton Democratic Town Committee announced several special guests for its annual October event.

WILTON, CT — Gov. Ned Lamont and several other Connecticut officials are expected to attend the Wilton Democratic Town Committee's annual barbecue next month, according to organizers.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 4, from 4 to 6 p.m. at WEPCO at St. Matthew's, 36 New Canaan Road.

Organizers announced that Lamont will be joined by Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, Attorney General William Tong, Treasurer Erick Russell, Comptroller Sean Scanlon and Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas. The state lists all six as Connecticut's current statewide constitutional officers.

State Rep. Savet Constantine and state Senate candidate Sam Nestor are also listed as guests.

According to the Wilton Democratic Town Committee, the event will include food and remarks from attendees about voting rights and other issues.
