New York Man Extradited In $150K Theft From Wilton Police Project

Police said the case involves the town's new police headquarters project.

WILTON, CT — A New York man was extradited to Connecticut this week in connection with the theft of approximately $150,000 from the Town of Wilton.

The man was arrested in connection to a stolen check tied to the town's new police headquarters project, according to police.

The Wilton Police Department said the suspect was taken into custody June 3 with assistance from the NYPD Bronx Warrant Squad and transported to Connecticut for arraignment.

Police charged the man with first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny.

Authorities said the arrest is the second made in connection with the investigation.
