Route 106 To Close During Day In Wilton For Water Main Work
A stretch of New Canaan Road will be closed weekdays for about two weeks, with detours in place, officials said.
WILTON, CT — A section of Route 106 in Wilton will be closed during the day for water main work starting this week, according to town officials.
Beginning April 27, Aquarion Water Company will be working on New Canaan Road (Route 106) between Belden Hill Road and Old Boston Road, officials said.
The work is expected to last about two weeks, weather permitting.

During that time, the roadway will be closed to traffic weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a detour in place using Belden Hill Road, Sier Hill Road and Old Boston Road, according to officials.
Residents in the immediate area will still be able to access their properties with assistance from traffic control, officials said.

Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the work zone, and bus stops will remain in their current locations, according to the notice.
