Wilton Memorial Day Parade To Include C-130 Flyover, Road Closures
Several roads near the parade route will close police said.
WILTON, CT — Wilton’s annual Memorial Day Parade will return May 25 with a military aircraft flyover and several road closures throughout the morning, according to police.
The parade begins at 10 a.m., though roads along the route will begin closing at 9:30 a.m.
According to the Wilton Police Department, Ridgefield Road between Danbury Road and Drum Hill Road, Horseshoe Road from Wolfpit Road to the town center and Belden Hill Road between Drum Hill Road and Ridgefield Road will all be closed to traffic during the event.

Police said a limited reopening will begin once the end of the parade passes Center Street. Horseshoe Road will reopen to allow vehicles into the town center, while part of Ridgefield Road will also reopen between Danbury Road and Center Street.
However, Old Ridgefield Road, Hubbard Road and Ridgefield Road between Center Street and Drum Hill Road will remain closed until ceremonies conclude at Hillside Cemetery, according to police. All roads are expected to reopen by about 12:30 p.m.

This year’s parade will also feature a flyover by a C-130 aircraft traveling the length of the parade route.
Police said a decision on whether to cancel the parade because of bad weather will be made around 7 a.m. on Memorial Day.
