Join us for a costume jewelry repair and repurpose workshop at the Wilson Branch Library. Beth Van Ness will help us create new pieces from broken jewelry or jewelry components that need a new life. This is a workshop for items that do not need to be soldered. Join Windor Historical Society Program Manager Heather Lodge and Windsor Director of Economic Development Patrick McMahon on May 2 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
for a Jane’s Walk of the Windsor Broad Street Green. 
 
On the first weekend of May every year, Jane’s Walks take place in hundreds of towns and cities around the world to encourage people to share stories about their neighborhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and connect with their neighbors.
In tandem with the Windsor CT 250 commemorations, this Jane’s Walk will focus on the civic actions that happened on the town green over the last 250 years. Together we will learn about the protests, parties, and civic activities that took place in the town center that helped shape who we are as a community. 
 
The tour will start on the steps of Town Hall. Participation is free, but pre-registration is encouraged at <a href="https://windsorhistoricalsociety.org/events/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://windsorhistoricalsociety.org/events/</a>.

Gardening season is here! Expand your plantings with the help of friends. Bring your leftover seed packets (full or partial), excess seedlings, or propagated houseplants. Please clearly label plant variety to the best of your ability. 
This exciting event is open to everyone. You do not have to donate to be able to take items from the swap. Seeds and seedlings will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. No bags will be supplied; please bring something to carry your new plants and seeds home. The library in no way endorses the quality of the seeds or seedlings provided. Swap at your own risk!
