Windsor Schools Issue Storm Update
All Windsor Public Schools will be closed Tuesday as snow continues to impact road conditions.
WINDSOR, CT — A winter storm moving through the region has already led to school closures and schedule changes in town.
Windsor Public Schools announced all schools will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 24, due to the weather.
Preparedness And Local Operations
District officials said Tree House childcare will open at 8 a.m., but only at John F. Kennedy School. All other Tree House locations will remain closed. School district offices are scheduled to open at 10 a.m.

As snow continues to impact the area, town officials are urging residents to avoid unnecessary travel so plows and emergency crews can operate efficiently.
At Bradley International Airport, operations remain open, but major disruptions are ongoing. The Connecticut Airport Authority said approximately 95 percent of Monday’s flights were proactively canceled as snow removal operations continued. A small number of late-night arrivals could still operate.

Residual cancellations and delays are expected Tuesday, Feb. 24, as airlines work to restore normal operations. Travelers are advised to check directly with their airline before heading to the airport. Another operational update from the airport authority is expected around 8 p.m.
Guidance For Residents
Officials are urging residents to use caution if travel is necessary, allow extra time, and maintain a safe distance from plow trucks. Clearing sidewalks and nearby fire hydrants can assist emergency responders.
Any downed wires or immediate hazards should be reported to 911. Non-emergency concerns should be addressed once conditions improve.
