Windsor Fire Honors Handed Out At Annual Banquet
Windsor fire officials honored members for leadership, dedication and years of service over the past year.
WINDSOR, CT — Several Windsor fire personnel were recognized over the weekend during the department’s annual awards banquet.
The Windsor Volunteer Fire Department announced Ben Dostie as Firefighter of the Year and Kyle Petkis as Fire Officer of the Year. The department said both honors reflected leadership and service shown over the past year.

Officials also recognized members who went above and beyond the call, along with others marking years-of-service milestones. The department said the annual event highlights the dedication, professionalism and commitment that define the organization.

The Windsor Fire Marshal’s Office also congratulated all honorees, including Fire Marshal Volovski, who received a letter of commendation. In its post, the office praised the volunteer service members for the role they play in protecting lives and property and strengthening safety in the community.
