Police: Driver Tried To Get Woman Into Vehicle

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Windsor Locks police are investigating after a driver reportedly twice tried to persuade a female walking alone on South Center Street to get into his vehicle Sunday evening.

Police said the female declined and continued walking after the first approach. The vehicle then returned a short time later, and the driver again tried to make contact. She went to a nearby residence, where police were called.

The vehicle was described as a possible gray Honda sedan. Police said the driver was a White man possibly in his 50s or 60s, with dark-gray hair and dark sunglasses.

Officers are canvassing the area, checking residential surveillance video and using the town’s Flock Safety camera system in an effort to identify the vehicle, police said.

The department said the incident appears isolated but asked anyone who witnessed suspicious activity, has relevant video or experiences a similar encounter to contact the Windsor Locks Police Department at 860-627-1461. Call 911 in an emergency.
