Organizers say the afternoon will include winter crafts and hot cocoa, with skating planned if conditions allow. Skating activities are dependent on the weather and ice conditions, and participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for outdoor conditions.
The event also has a charitable component. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations of new children’s unisex athletic pants and boys’ or girls’ underwear to support the Broad Brook School Clothing Closet.
