Woodbury Selectman Picked To Run For State House: Report

Woodbury Selectman Karen Reddington-Hughes​ was selected​ by Republicans to run for state representative in the 66th House District.

WOODBURY, CT — Woodbury Selectman Karen Reddington-Hughes was selected by Republicans to run for state representative in the 66th House District, The Waterbury Republican-American reported. Reddington-Hughes accepted the nomination in the district's Republican caucus at Morris Town Hall.

Out of 18 total delegates, 13 voted for Reddington-Hughes. The other five votes went to Susan Haas of Woodbury, who plans to run in a primary against Reddington-Hughes in August.

Reddington-Hughes will look to replace state Rep. David T. Wilson, a Litchfield Republican, who will not run for a fourth term.
