Safety Harbor's only ghost tour runs select nights through April at 8:00 PM, from $35 per person. Led by Safety Harbor local and certified tour guide Cynthia Dominick, Silent Slayer Ghost Tours has been documenting the haunted history and true crime of historic downtown Safety Harbor since 2021. The 90-minute walking tour covers documented true crime, local legends, and reported paranormal activity at historic downtown landmarks. Guests hear real stories connected to a hanging tree, a devastating fire, a murder tied to a possible brothel, a daring bank robbery, and the city's funeral home past. The tour includes exclusive entry into the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa lobby and History Hall, a ghost hunting sampler at the Elf Tree using dowsing rods, a spirit box, cat balls, and the flashlight experiment, and Cynthia's personal restaurant recommendations for Safety Harbor. You have to show up to find out which ones make the list.
Since 2021 Silent Slayer has documented consistent unexplained activity at a specific location on this route before, during, and after every tour. The phenomenon has been observed on evenings when Cynthia is not even in Safety Harbor. A psychic medium who has investigated it believes it is not a coincidence. Winds of Change event is an annual fundraiser for Clearwater Community Sailing Center. With your support – as well as local individuals, businesses, and foundations – we can provide free sailing instruction for children of Pinellas County. You are making a difference in young people’s lives that will endure a lifetime, now more than ever. This year we are working on an event to raise funds to scholarship several kids through summer camp and year round sailing lessons at CCSC. We are currently trying to accommodate families from Hope Villages in St. Pete and the Grace House in Clearwater, Florida Sheriff Youth Ranches, City of Clearwater, SailFuture and additional organizations.
