Lampe, a barbecue Hall of Famer, previously operated Dr. BBQ, a Datz Restaurant Group partnership, in St. Petersburg’s EDGE District from 2018 to 2022.

“Squiki Tiki combines my passion for barbecue with Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach’s welcoming hospitality and commitment to the local community,” he said in a statement, according to the Tampa Bay Times. “Our hope is that guests and locals alike can relax, unwind and escape to an island oasis at Squiki Tiki — whether stopping in for a meal and refreshing cocktails or making it part of their week-long getaway at the resort.”
