Publix, Winn-Dixie Labor Day 2016 Store Hours

Tampa Bay area residents who find themselves a few items shy for their Labor Day barbecues can breathe a sigh of relief. Two of the region’s most popular grocery chains plan to open normal hours to serve them on Labor Day, Sept. 5.

Publix spokesman Brian West says all of the Lakeland-based chain’s stores in Florida will operate on their normal schedules over the holiday weekend. Winn-Dixie spokeswoman Meredith Holland reports the same.

Both stores also have a variety of specials planned to help residents celebrate summer’s end. Shoppers should check their favorite store’s advertised specials to cash in on any savings offered.

Winn-Dixie is also celebrating the start of football season along with Labor Day by kicking off its Game Day specials. Customers with Winn-Dixie reward cards will find such Game Day Savings as Heinz ketchup two for $5, 80/20 ground chuck for $1.50 a pound with a $30 or more purchase and other deals, as well.
