$25M Scratch-Off Prize Claimed By FL Man: Lottery Officials

A Florida man won $25 million playing the "$25,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER" scratch-off game, state lottery officials said.

MIAMI, FL — A 68-year-old Miami man claimed a $25 million top prize from the “$25,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER” scratch-off game on Jan. 12, Florida Lottery officials said in an April 14 news release.

Lincoln Diaz chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $15.96 million at the Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

Diaz bought his winning ticket at the Walmart store at 14720 S.W. 36th Street in Miami.

The “$25,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER,” which costs $50 per ticket, features two top prizes of $25 million and 60 prizes of $1 million.

The game offers more than $1.2 billion in total cash prizes and has overall odds of winning of 1-in-4.09.
