2 Killed In 2-Car Crash In Pasco County

The crash occurred early Saturday morning on Eiland Boulevard in Pasco County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — Two people are dead following a two-car crash in Pasco County early Saturday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 4:40 a.m. on Eiland Boulevard south of Handcart Road.

Police said a Nissan Altima traveling northbound on Eiland Boulevard entered the southbound lane and collided nearly head-on with a southbound Hyundai Santa Fe. Following the collision, both vehicles rotated before coming to a stop in the travel lanes.

One passenger traveling in each of the vehicles suffered fatal injuries in the crash, police said.

The other occupants of both vehicles suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to area hospitals.
