Man Who Saw ‘The Anti-Christ’ Tried To Steal Medical Helicopter After I-75 Crash: Reports

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL — A man who claimed to see “the anti-Christ” was arrested early Friday morning after crashing his pick-up truck on Interstate 75 in Hernando County and trying to steal an emergency medical helicopter that responded to the scene, multiple reports said.

Riley Ferrer, 28, was charged with three counts of resisting an officer without violence and one count of burglary of an occupied conveyance, Hernando County Sheriff’s Office records show.

The crash happened around 12:15 a.m. on northbound I-75 near mile marker 295, WFLA reported.

State troopers that responded to the scene found Ferrer had lost control of his pickup truck, traveled off the road and hit a black sedan, reports said. His truck overturned into the woods.

Both people inside the car were seriously injured.

A medical helicopter responded to the highway to bring the two victims to a hospital.

As fire rescue crews readied the patients for the helicopter, Ferrer ran past them and unsuccessfully tried to steal it, Fox 13 said.

He also resisted deputies at the scene, refusing to comply multiple times, and told them that he saw “the anti-Christ,” which caused the crash, according to WTSP.

Ferrer was brought to Tampa General Hospital Brooksville and was arrested after being medically cleared by hospital staff, reports said.
