Pasco County Mall Owners Quash Rumors Of Closure
The Gulf View Square Mall is undergoing a major capital improvement plan in 2026, owners said.
PORT RICHEY, FL — Despite rumors of its closure, the Gulf View Square Mall’s owners assured shoppers that it will stay open and “remains committed to its presence in the community,” in a social media post shared Wednesday.
A major capital improvement project has been approved and is underway at the mall.
Upgrades include the installation of new HVAC units, and extensive roofing, interior drywall, and ceiling repairs.

“We invite you to join us in 2026 as we celebrate these significant property enhancements,” the owners said.
The mall will also host community events, including monthly weekend markets with a limited number of vendor spaces. The first market takes place Feb. 7-8.
