PALM HARBOR, FL — A 44-year-old man was killed while trying to cross Alternate U.S. 19 north of Brevard Street in Palm Harbor.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, just after 2 a.m. Saturday, the man stepped into the path of a sports utility vehicle driven by a 34-year-old Palm Harbor woman and was killed at the scene.
