“Our mission is to bring heart, health, and humanity to food, and everything we do at CAVA is grounded in that spirit of generosity, to our guests, our team members, and our community,” Scott Sheffield, regional director, said. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be in Lutz and continue growing our presence in the Tampa Bay area.”

Before a Cava restaurant officially opens, each location invites neighbors to a free meal, accepts donations for a local cause and matches those donations up to $1,000, the company said.

Since 2019, the company-wide Community Day program has raised more than $1 million in monetary and food donations for organizations working to combat food insecurity across the country.

The brand’s launch in Lutz will support Feeding Tampa Bay.

The new restaurant is also expected to bring dozens of jobs to the area, employing 25 to 40 local people.
