NJ Burrito Chain Expands In Tampa Bay Area

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — A New Jersey-based chain known for burritos, quesadillas and other Mexican-fusion fare is expanding in the Tampa Bay area with a new restaurant in Pasco County.

Bubbakoo’s Burritos’ newest location opened Wednesday in Wesley Chapel, a news release said.

The restaurant, which is locally owned and operated, is the chain’s second location in Pasco County. It also has a location in Zephyrhills.

To celebrate the opening, the first 30 customers who make a qualifying purchase will receive free burritos for a year, equivalent to one free burrito each month.

The restaurant offers a customizable menu featuring burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas and other dishes combining Mexican-inspired flavors with other cuisines.

Menu options include the Papi Hibachi steak and shrimp burrito, Crispy Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla, Nashville Hot Crispy Chicken Burrito, Pineapple Express Burrito, and California Steakhouse Burrito.

The new Wesley Chapel location is also opening as Bubbakoo’s rolls out its fall menu. New seasonal offerings include fried cauliflower, available as a starter or protein option, and apple pie egg rolls.

The restaurant chain was founded in 2008 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, and has grown to more than 140 locations across 17 states, according to the company.

Other Florida locations, in addition to Wesley Chapel, include Boca Raton, Cape Coral, Celebration, Coral Springs, Estero, Jacksonville, Lake Mary, Melbourne, Miramar, O-West Village/Lake Buena Vista, Orlando, Palm Bay, Plant City, Riverview, Stuart and Zephyrhills.
