Tampa Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing Into Tree
Authorities said the crash occurred around 4 p.m. Friday on the southbound State Road 589 exit ramp.
A 61-year-old Tampa man was killed Friday afternoon after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a tree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash occurred around 4 p.m. on the southbound State Road 589 exit ramp to Waters Avenue.
Troopers said the rider was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he lost control while exiting the highway. The motorcycle traveled onto the shoulder and struck a tree.

The rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
