Flock Cameras Help Police Find Missing 99-Year-Old Man
A missing 99-year-old man was found safe after his car was detected by a Flock camera, St. Petersburg police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL. — A 99-year-old St. Petersburg man who was reported missing Wednesday was found safe after police located his vehicle using a Flock camera, authorities said.
Karl Josephs had been reported missing after leaving his home on Alamanda Way South around 12:30 p.m., St. Petersburg police said.
He was driving to his daughter’s home near 69th Avenue South and 20th Street South but never arrived.

Josephs’ family was concerned that he may have become lost or confused on the way.
Investigators launched a search that included Flock license-plate reader cameras, drones and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office helicopter.

Flock camera eventually detected his 2006 Toyota Corolla in the Tyrone area, allowing officers to locate him, police said.
