Gun Fired During Fight On PSTA Bus Along U.S. 19: Reports

PINELLAS PARK — A fight between two Pinellas County men aboard a PSTA bus in Pinellas Park escalated when a gun discharged Sunday morning, according to multiple reports.

Officers responded to the shooting, which happened near U.S. Highway 19 North and 49th Street North, around 11:45 a.m., Tampa Bay 28 reported.

Pinellas Park police identified the two men involved as Victor Lambert, 28, and Earltwan Grainger, 41, both of Pinellas County, IONTB said.

The men were involved in an ongoing argument that started before they boarded the bus, resuming once aboard, reports said.

During the argument, Lambert pulled out a gun, leading to a struggle with Grainger over the weapon, Fox 13 said. The gun fired inside the bus, though no one was hit by the bullet.

The fight over the gun continued until Lambert got off the bus, once it stopped along the shoulder of U.S. 19, reports said. He was later found nearby in the bathroom at Mayors Park at Freedom Lake by Pinellas County deputies.

Grainger was treated for minor injuries caused by the physical altercation, not the gunfire, at a nearby hospital.

Lambert was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and improper exhibition of a firearm, reports said.
