Girl Scout Get Fit Campaign Reaps $20,000 For Charity

Girl Scout Troop 758 of Temple Terrace would like to shout out a huge thank you to all of the sponsors and donors for this year’s fifth annual Tri It Get Fit Triathlon.

For more than five years, the girls in Girl Scout Troop 758 have been dedicated to promoting health and fitness for community youth and adults interested in training and participating in a triathlon.  

These also have mentored Special Olympic athletes and teamed with them so that they could also participate in the triathlon.  

The proceeds from these events have been donated to several community charities including Clouds of Hope and the Miracle for Megan Irrevocable Trust. The donations have totaled more than $20,000.

This year’s Tri It Get Fit Triathlon was a huge success thanks to so many generous Temple Terrace businesses, chamber members, neighbors, volunteers, family and friends.
