Mass Shooting At GA Homecoming Party Leaves 2 Dead, 35 Injured: Reports

VIENNA, GA — Gunfire at a homecoming block party early Sunday in Vienna left two dead and 35 injured, according to police and media reports.
Dooly County Sheriff's Office deputies were on patrol around 1:25 a.m. at a neighborhood block party when shots rang out in the 900 block of Pine Street, with multiple people shot, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which added that two people were also found dead in the 600 block of Pine Street.
There had been over 1,000 people in attendance, according to 13 WMAZ.

The sheriff's office requested the bureau to assist with the investigation, according to the state agency.
The two deceased victims will be taken to the bureau medical examiner's office, where autopsies will be conducted, the agency said. The deceased were both men, ages 20 and 23, WALB News 10 reported.
