This GA City Ranked Among Best For Gen Z Grads
Redfin and Glassdoor partnered to rank the best big, medium and small U.S. metro areas for college graduates.
MACON, GA — Macon was recently ranked among the nation’s top cities for new college graduates.
Redfin and Glassdoor partnered to rank the best big, medium and small U.S. metro areas for graduates based on 13 indicators across career opportunity, housing affordability and urban quality of life.
The best three big cities were Washington, Omaha and Boston, respectively. New Orleans, Palm Bay and Wichita took the top spots in the mid-size category, while Springfield, Illinois, Santa Fe and Panama City were ranked the best small cities.

Macon came in fifth on the small cities list, between Hilton Head Island, South Carolin, at fourth, and Champaign, Illinois, at sixth.
Macon's average early-career earnings come out to $55,037, according to Redfin, while a typical starter home in the city costs $139,000.

"For young adults, Macon is full to the brim with live music, beer gardens and arcade bars," according to Redfin.
"The Southern town’s growing job market is anchored by healthcare, manufacturing and logistics — and as a bonus, housing is affordable.
