4th Buc-ee's Coming To GA: See Where

FORSYTH, GA — The Buc-ee's footprint is expanding in Georgia as the popular travel center will soon open a fourth store in the Peach State.

Forsyth residents will welcome the beaver when Buc-ee's opens their new location at 1080 Rumble Road. The Texas-based company broke ground on April 7 in Monroe County.

The 74,000-square-foot facility will offer 100 gas pumps, Texas barbecue, homemade fudge, beaver nuggets and fresh pastries.

It will create more than 200 full-time jobs in the area. Benefits will include three weeks of paid vacation and a 6 percent matching 401K while pay will be above minimum wage, the company said.

"Our Monroe County store will be the perfect pit stop for the folks coming and going from the beautiful Georgia coast," said Stan Beard, Buc-ee's director of real estate and development, in a news release.

WALB-TV reported Monroe commissioners gave Buc-ee's the green light in December, then the state approved the measure.

Monroe County Commissioner Lamarcus Davis will reportedly shell out an estimated $10 million for road improvements, which will include new traffic lights and roundabouts. The new location will open in March 2027, WALB-TV reported.

Buc-ee's currently operates travel centers in Calhoun, Brunswick and Warner Robins.

The company was founded in 1982 in Texas and has expanded to open 54 stores throughout the southern region. Aside from Georgia, Buc-ee's has locations in Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri, Virginia and Tennessee.

It has also broken ground on sites in Ohio, Arkansas, Arizona and Kansas.
