Popular Mexican Eatery To Expand GA Footprint With 30 New Locations

ATLANTA, GA — Popular Mexican eatery Qdoba Mexican Eats plans to expand across Georgia with 30 new locations as part of a venture to open about 2,000 more U.S. restaurants in the next eight years, the company announced Wednesday.

Qdoba, already with 10 locations in Georgia, said its newest restaurants will open in the Atlanta area due to the efforts of a former McDonald's operator.

A Zaxby's operator is projected to open 20 Qdoba restaurants in Nashville, Tennessee.

"We're thrilled to partner with proven franchise operators who share our people-first culture, exceptional standards for guest service and commitment to disciplined growth," Jeremy Vitaro, chief development officer of QDOBA, said in a news release. "Together, we're bringing QDOBA's bold flavors to more communities across the U.S."

Qdoba utilizes fresh ingredients and contemporary flavors to dish out Mexican cuisine, such as a create your own spicy tequila lime steak bowl.

Other menu items include street-style tacos, citrus lime chicken salad, quesabirria quesadilla, fajita veggie post workout bowl, smoky chicken cheese-crusted quesadilla and a Southwest steak burrito. Desserts are available, and breakfast is served until 10:30 a.m.

There are 865 Qdoba restaurants in 46 states, with plans to additionally expand in California, Florida, Tennessee and Texas.

The company did not reveal opening dates for the new locations.
