The event will be at 5 p.m. at Saint Luke’s Presbyterian Church, 1978 Mount Vernon Road, Dunwoody. After working as a freelance journalist as well as 13 years as Publishers Weekly’s West Coast correspondent, See penned her first book in 1995, “On Gold Mountain,” which tells the story of her Chinese American family’s settlement in Los Angeles.

That is also when her research began for the historical event around which her latest novel revolves – the Chinese massacre of 1871. Set amid the vibrancy and turmoil of that forgotten piece of American history, “Daughters of the Sun and Moon” tells the story of three unforgettable women, based on real Chinese women living in Los Angeles at the time, who managed to survive and eventually thrive, despite all odds.

Roswell Reads expects the event to sell out, as their 2025 presentation with Fredrik Backman did in five days, so don’t wait to purchase your tickets.
