A Culinary Passport Experience: Enjoy a Taste of Guyana at The Peachtree Road Farmers Market this Saturday, July 18th from 8:30am - 12pm.
The Culinary Passport experience is your ticket to explore the world one bite at a time, curated by The Culinary Collective. Guyana is back for everyone who missed it the first time, and "dah is we own"! This is Chef's home country, a place where Caribbean spirit meets South American land, and where the food carries Indigenous, African, Indian, Chinese, Portuguese, and British influences in every bite. Guyanese cuisine is bold, layered, and full of family memory, from cassareep and curry to chow mein, coconut, pepper sauce, roti, and stews that taste like home. This stop is not just a passport stamp, it is a piece of Chef's story.
This week’s menu:
>> Lamb Pepperpot Patties - Flaky golden pastry filled with tender lamb, cassareep, warm spice, and deep pepperpot flavor.
>> Plantain Cinnamon Rolls - Soft, fluffy plantain cinnamon rolls swirled with brown sugar, warm spice, and rum cream cheese icing.
>> Guyanese Bara - Golden-fried chickpea dough with a soft, pillowy center, served with Guyanese chutneys and pepper sauce.
>> Mauby - A bold Caribbean drink made from mauby bark, warm spice, and sugar, with a bittersweet finish.
