1 Injured In Shooting At Stonecrest Mall, Police Say
The mall was evacuated on Saturday as DeKalb County authorities investigated the incident.
STONECREST, GA — One person was injured Saturday in a shooting at The Mall at Stonecrest in DeKalb County, according to authorities.
DeKalb County police responded to the mall around 12:40 p.m. after receiving calls about a possible shooting, a spokesperson told Patch. The victim was located with non-fatal injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
Police said a few individuals fled the mall following the shooting and were later detained. Patch is working to confirm how many people were taken into custody.
