Woman Killed 44 Years Ago In Gwinnett Needs ID'ing, Police Say
"More than four decades later, this victim still does not have her name back," Gwinnett Police says, asking for the public's help.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman they say was found dead over 44 years ago in Lawrenceville.
Gwinnett County Police on Monday said the woman was found dead on Aug. 11, 1981 at McDaniel Road near Highway 120.
Police did not reveal a cause or manner of death but said it was ruled a homicide. A suspect has not been identified.

"More than four decades later, this victim still does not have her name back, and the person responsible has not been held accountable," police said in a news release.

Police said the woman was between age 20 and 30, is about 5 feet and 10 inches tall and weighs between 150 and 160 pounds.

She was wearing an afro hairstyle, a brown and/or purple short sleeve dress, a 15-inch gold necklace, a gold ring with stones and a silver bracelet with “Monet” engraved on the back at the time of her death, police said.
