Ex-Roswell Teacher Charged With Sexually Assaulting Student
Police say they have arrested a former teacher in Roswell after she was accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a teenage student.
ROSWELL, GA — A former teacher at Roswell High School has been arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old student multiple times, police said Wednesday.
Roswell Police said they have charged Amanda Katz, 55, with improper sexual contact by an employee or agent. Katz is a former administrative assistant and teacher at Roswell High, police said.
The investigation into Katz began after the Department Family of Children Services reported misconduct involving a high-school student, police said.

During the investigation, police said Katz resigned from her post.
Ultimately, detectives determined she sexually assaulted the teenage student multiple times off-campus between 2025 and this year.

A warrant was secured for her arrest, and police said she was taken into custody Tuesday.
