The magical flashing at dusk is a sure sign summer has arrived and the fireflies are back! Did you know that Georgia is home to more than 50 species of firefly, more than any other U.S. state? However, that twinkling has diminished in recent years. Light pollution, pesticide use, and habitat loss all contribute to firefly decline. Come join us as Roseanne Guerra, Master Naturalist and Nature Educator explores the importance of fireflies and how we can make our yards a welcoming habitat for these amazing insects! FREE! All are welcome. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Register at the link so we know how many to expect. Carpool if coming with a friend.
