Body Of Missing Trucker Found In GA: Reports

The body of a trucker who was en route to Miami has been found in Georgia, media reports say.

COASTAL GEORGIA — The body of a trucker who disappeared while hauling cars from Georgia to Florida has been recovered, a media outlet reported Wednesday.

The body of Alejandro Jacomino Gonzalez has been found in coastal Georgia, Fox 13 News reported, citing the FBI.

An official cause or manner of death were not revealed. It is unknown where in Georgia Gonzalez's body was found, and it is not known if foul play is suspected in his death.

The FBI on Friday announced the disappearance of Gonzalez, a trucker who retrieved multiple vehicles from the Port of Brunswick and headed to drop them off in Miami on April 16.

Authorities said after he rested for several hours at a Brevard County (Florida) truck stop, GPS showed he later drove south to one exit before U-turning north toward Jacksonville.

He then became unreachable, and the truck he drove was reported missing, the FBI said.

The next day, the truck was found in Port Wentworth, but Gonzalez was not found.

Authorities on Wednesday notified Gonzalez's wife that his body had been located in Georgia, NBC6 reported, citing Juan Carlos Forcade, Gonzalez's cousin.

Some of the vehicles Gonzalez was hauling are missing, NBC6 reported.
