Motorcyclist Airlifted After Crash In McHenry County
The collision happened Monday afternoon in unincorporated Harvard, fire officials said.
HARVARD, IL — A motorcyclist was airlifted to a Rockford hospital with serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in unincorporated Harvard, according to the Harvard Fire Protection District.
Firefighters were dispatched to the area of Route 173 and Beck Road at about 3:15 p.m. on Monday after multiple 911 calls reported a motorcycle crash with the rider down in the roadway, fire officials said. Firefighters and paramedics arrived and located a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Route 173, and crews found an adult male motorcyclist injured in the roadway and immediately began treatment.
No injuries were reported for the occupants of the pickup truck, fire officials said. The motorcyclist was airlifted to Javon Bea Hospital Riverside in Rockford with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
