Please join us for the 5th Annual Oak Lawn Chamber Fall Family Fest on Saturday, September 19th from 3-6 pm. Sponsored by Individual Tax Service!
This free event for families and kids will be held at Richards High School! The first 250 through the gate will receive a complimentary sweet treat! Sweet treats sponsors include: Andy's Frozen Custard, Culver's, Grove Coffee &amp; Nothing Bundt Cakes.
Free entry &amp; parking! Free activities for families and children. including face painting, balloon animals, inflatables, DJ, photo booth for selfies, sports contests!
Register (for free!) in advance BEFORE Friday, September 18th at noon to receive a complimentary raffle ticket and enter to win fun prizes! Additional raffle tickets available for purchase the day of.
Concessions will be available for purchase at the event from the Richards High School Booster Club.

 You have to see this sale to believe it! We'll have four large areas including a riding arena filled with housewares, books, clothes, crafts, and tools; a lawn filled with sporting goods; a special "Twice as Nice" clothing boutique; and a furniture tent.
All areas of the Rummage Sale have at least partial cover: on the lawn under tents, under a pavilion, and in an airy riding arena.
We’re a Farm, and this sale is rain or shine!

This Labor Day Weekend, the Southtown Dahlia Club is set to transform the holiday into a celebration of color, creativity, and community spirit as it hosts its 89th Annual Dahlia Show, a beloved tradition that continues to draw gardeners, families, and flower lovers from across the Midwest. The show will take place Saturday, September 5, from 1–4 p.m., and Sunday, September 6, from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at the Crestwood Civic Center. Admission and parking are free. More than 600 dazzling dahlia blooms—from tiny micro varieties to massive giants—will fill the Civic Center. Attendees can cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award, a lively tradition that lets everyone participate in choosing the most stunning bloom of the weekend. Families will find plenty to enjoy, with volunteers on hand to answer questions, share growing tips, and introduce newcomers to the world of dahlias. One of the most exciting features of the event is its open door policy for new growers. If you have a dahlia in bloom on September 5, you can enter it in the show—no experience required. The Southtown Dahlia Club encourages first time participants to learn how easy and fun it is to participate – members will be available to assist. Southtown Dahlia Club is a nonprofit organization passionate about sharing the beauty, knowledge, and joy of dahlias while promoting gardening and supporting habitats for monarchs and other pollinators. Annual memberships are available. The Club offers engaging gardening presentations for libraries, garden clubs, and community groups. Be sure to visit the dahlia garden at Lake Katherine, where members volunteer their time and talents to bring breathtaking blooms to life for everyone to enjoy. Join us on September 26th for a fun day with live entertainment, a farmer's market, shopping at the iconic Dutch Village, and delicious Dutch food.
Our Pancake Breakfast starts at 7:30 am, and the Dutch Village opens at 8 am.
Admission, parking, and shuttle services are free.
All proceeds from Dutch Fest go to support Elim's mission: equipping people with disabilities to thrive at Elim and beyond.
