Arlington Heights School Calendars: First Day, Breaks And More

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Back-to-school planning is underway in Arlington Heights, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Township High School District 214 and Arlington Heights School District 25.

District 214 students return to class Wednesday, Aug. 12, while District 25 students begin Thursday, Aug. 20. District 214's registration page confirms registration for the 2026-27 school year is underway, while District 25 also has registration open for the new academic year.

Here are some of the important 2026-27 school year dates to get on the calendar:

Township High School District 214

• First Day: Aug. 12, 2026
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25 through Nov. 27, 2026
• Winter Break: Begins after classes Dec. 18, 2026; classes resume Jan. 6, 2027
• Spring Break: Begins after classes March 19, 2027; classes resume March 29, 2027
• Last Day: May 27, 2027

District 214's official website provides the 2026-27 school calendar, and the published calendar lists Aug. 12 as the first day of classes.

Arlington Heights School District 25

• First Day: Aug. 20, 2026
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23 through Nov. 27, 2026
• Winter Break: Dec. 21, 2026 through Jan. 1, 2027
• Spring Break: March 22 through March 26, 2027
• Last Day: June 3, 2027

District 25 released its 2026-27 calendar in December and has current registration information posted for the school year. The calendar lists Aug. 20 as the first day and June 3 as the final day for students.
