Cannabis Delivery Charge, Prostitution Arrest: Arlington Heights Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A Chicago woman faces a cannabis delivery charge after an Arlington Heights arrest in the latest police blotter.

It was among several arrests recently reported by Arlington Heights police.

The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records. Criminal charges are accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Updated case information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

CANNABIS DELIVERY

Toriunshae O. Winters, 28, of Chicago, was arrested at 11:10 a.m. Aug. 21, in the 400 block of West Northwest Highway and charged with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver between 30 and 500 grams of cannabis, according to police. She was cited and released and is due in court Sept. 22 in Rolling Meadows.

PROSTITUTION

Netmaris K. Gomez Oropeza, 23, of Chicago, was arrested at 4:26 p.m. Aug. 21, in the 400 block of West Algonquin Road and charged with prostitution. She was cited and released and is due in court Sept. 21 in Rolling Meadows.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

John W. Avila, 54, of Arlington Heights, was arrested at 6:02 p.m. Aug. 23, and charged with domestic battery causing bodily harm. He is due in court Sept. 14 in Rolling Meadows.

Cuono Dellaquila, 52, of Arlington Heights, was arrested at 7:35 p.m. Aug. 21, and charged with domestic battery causing bodily harm. He was scheduled for a detention hearing and is due in court Aug. 25 in Rolling Meadows.

DUI

Kathleen M. Lockwood, 25, of Arlington Heights, was arrested at 1:51 a.m. Aug. 22, near South Street and Arlington Heights Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more. She was cited and released and is due in court Sept. 21 in Rolling Meadows.

SUSPENDED LICENSE

Andrii Kovtsun, 21, of Arlington Heights, was arrested at 10:05 p.m. Aug. 22, near South Tonne Road and East Algonquin Road and charged with driving on a suspended license and unlawful possession of adult-use cannabis in the passenger area of a motor vehicle.

Police records also list an in-state warrant. He was cited and released and is due in court Oct. 6 in Rolling Meadows.
