Controlled Substance Charge After Arlington Heights Arrest: Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL A Hoffman Estates man was charged with possession of a controlled substance following an arrest this week in Arlington Heights, according to police.

Mykola Skrynyk, 38, of Hoffman Estates, was arrested Aug. 19 in the 2000 block of South Arlington Heights Road and charged with possession of a controlled substance and operating a vehicle without valid registration. He was cited and released and was scheduled to appear Aug. 24 at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.

It was among several arrests recently reported by Arlington Heights police.

Protection And No-Contact Order Charges

Jose G. Barragan Gonzalez, 25, of Arlington Heights, was arrested Aug. 17 in the 600 block of East Golf Road and charged with violating an order of protection. A Sept. 9 court date was scheduled in Rolling Meadows.

Jason L. Brooks, 30, of Vernon Hills, was arrested Aug. 14 in the 200 block of East Sigwalt Street and charged with violating an order of protection. He was scheduled to appear in court Aug. 25.

David M. Dyrda, 67, of Arlington Heights, was arrested Aug. 16 and charged with violating a stalking no-contact order. A detention hearing was listed, with an Aug. 28 court date in Rolling Meadows.

Battery

Thomas Andrew Pearce, 37, of Arlington Heights, was arrested Aug. 19 in the 1800 block of South Highland Avenue and charged with battery involving physical contact. He was cited and released and was scheduled to appear in Rolling Meadows court Oct. 5.

Retail Theft

Beverly A. Jorges, 55, of Arlington Heights, was arrested Aug. 20 in the 1700 block of East Rand Road and charged with retail theft. She was cited and released and given a Sept. 8 adjudication date.

Kari E. Riplinger, 48, of Palatine, was arrested Aug. 18 in the 10 block of West Rand Road and charged with retail theft involving merchandise valued at $300 or less, according to police records. She was cited and released and scheduled to appear Aug. 21 in Rolling Meadows. The arrest report appears twice under separate report numbers in the department's weekly release.

Revoked License Charges

Francisco J. Castaneda-Sanchez, 41, of Waukegan, was arrested Aug. 20 in the 500 block of West Algonquin Road and charged with driving on a revoked license. Police records also list a charge described as a third offense for driving while revoked or suspended in connection with DUI or related circumstances. He was cited and released and scheduled for an Aug. 25 court appearance.

Emmanuel Lopez, 25, of Berkeley, was arrested Aug. 19 near Arlington Heights Road and Interstate 90 and charged with driving on a revoked license. He was cited and released and scheduled to appear Sept. 2 in Rolling Meadows court.

Bail Bond Violation

Mark R. Norwell, 65, was arrested Aug. 17 in Arlington Heights on an in-state warrant and charged with violation of bail bond, according to police. The arrest report lists a detention hearing.
