6 Men Arrested For Operating Brothels Across Chicagoland Area: Mosser
The arrests resulted from a 15-month investigation into prostitution at Aurora, West Dundee, Rockford and South Elgin brothels, police said.

AURORA, IL — A 15-month investigation into prostitution at brothels in four Chicagoland towns, including Aurora, has resulted in charges for six men, the Kane County State's Attorney's Office said Tuesday.
Prosecutors said the men knowingly advanced and profited from prostitution by arranging clients and controlling the use of residential apartments in the 500 block of Ashland Avenue in Aurora, in the 800 block of Village Quarter Road in West Dundee, in the 800 block of Kishwaukee Street in Rockford, and in the 300 block of Ann Street in South Elgin.
Residents of Aurora, Belvidere, Elgin, Hanover Park and Woodstock, the men face charges for promoting prostitution for profit, promoting prostitution near a school and forgery by using false names on rental leases associated with some of the brothels, authorities said.

The men were arrested July 16 when the Kane County State's Attorney's Office's Human Exploitation Unit led a coordinated operation across Kane, McHenry, Boone, Winnebago and Cook counties.
The Human Exploitation Unit launched in January 2025 as a specialized team dedicated to investigating and prosecuting human trafficking offenses, including sex and labor trafficking.

The men were each charged with the following:
- Abisahit Del Angel Hernandez, 40, of the 600 block of Leah Lane in Woodstock
- Promote prostitution advance at school
- Forgery — makes or alters document
- Gustavo A. Perez Cardoza, 35, of the 400 block of Jefferson Street in Aurora
- Promote prostitution advance
- Promote prostitution for profit arrange
- Hugo F. Jaimes-Ramirez, 43, of the 400 block of Jefferson Street in Aurora
- Two counts of promote prostitution advance at school
- Two counts of promote prostitution for profit arrange near school
- Forgery — makes or alters document
- Two counts of promote prostitution advance
- Two counts of promote prostitution for profit arrange
- Kenneth E. Figueroa Castro, 29, of the 1000 block of Fifth Street in Belvidere
- Three counts of forgery — makes or alters document
- Two counts of promote prostitution advance at school
- Two counts of promote prostitution for profit arrange near school
- Two counts of promote prostitution advance
- Two counts of promote prostitution for profit arrange
- Delfino Torres-Navarro, 59, of the 6600 block of Pinetree Street in Hanover Park
- Two counts of promote prostitution advance at school

- Ricardo Hernandez Lux, 33, of the 600 block of Congdon Avenue in Elgin

"The charges allege that these defendants promoted prostitution for profit at multiple locations, including near a school," Kane County State's Attorney Jamie Mosser said in a statement. "These defendants were taking advantage of vulnerable women and exploiting them for financial gain. I am extremely proud of the work of our investigators, advocates and prosecutors that spent countless hours bringing these individuals to justice and saving victims."
All six defendants are in custody at the Kane County jail, awaiting detention hearings July 23.
