Kane County Sheriff Reveals Results From St. Patrick's Day Enforcement
The enforcement effort resulted in tickets for speeding, distracted driving and improper seat belt use, officials said.
KANE COUNTY, IL — The Kane County Sheriff's Office shared Wednesday the results of its St. Patrick's Day enforcement campaign, revealing officers wrote 32 citations.
From March 13-23, Kane County deputies joined Illinois State Police, the Illinois Department of Transportation and a plethora of local agencies to stop drivers impaired by alcohol, cannabis or other drugs.
Deputies wrote tickets for the following violations:

- 18 improper seat belt use
- 10 distracted driving
- Three speeding
- One driving on a suspended license
The enforcement effort was paid for by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
